Hintze Law seeks a senior privacy attorney to join our growing team.


Searching for a skilled privacy lawyer to join our unique, collegial, high-caliber, AI, privacy, and data security team.


Candidates must have 5-7 years of experience in U.S. and EU privacy and data security compliance and/or transactions. A high level of comfort and interest in technology is required. Ideal candidates will have a combination of in-house and law firm experience including in several of the following areas:

  • Drafting and negotiating data protection agreements
  • Developing and implementing privacy programs
  • Conducting AI & data protection impact/risk assessments
  • Reviewing products and systems for Privacy by Design and privacy assessments
  • Data security breach preparedness and response
  • Preparing responses and document production for regulatory investigations
  • Providing counseling and response to privacy and data security due diligence
  • Researching, understanding, and applying AI, privacy, and data security laws, including EU AI Act; State AI Privacy and Security Laws; advertising privacy laws; GDPR; FTC Act; COPPA; GLBA; VPPA; CAN-SPAM; TCPA; and HIPAA
  • Specific experience with advertising FERPA and children’s privacy laws, including COPPA and age-appropriate design codes is a plus
  • Regulatory response or investigations experience (such as FTC, state regulator, etc.) are a plus


CIPP certification is also preferred. You must be a U.S. licensed attorney with a J.D. or LLM.


Successful candidates will also be professional, practical, resourceful, business minded, capable of working independently, and with a collaborative workstyle and positive people skills. Some limited travel to in-person client locations, meetings, and conferences may be required.
