On behalf of our esteemed client, a reputable law firm located in Wheaton, IL, we are seeking a professional and dedicated Legal Assistant to join their team. Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting attorneys in preparing legal documentation such as legal arguments, motions, contracts, and agreements.
  2. Maintaining and organizing legal files to ensure they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  3. Managing phone communications, scheduling for attorneys, and coordinating appointments, meetings, and conference calls.
  4. Drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts.
  5. Researching legal articles and pertinent information to aid legal proceedings and assist with trial preparation.
  6. Attending trials and typing minutes.


Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience as a legal assistant in a law firm.
  2. Solid knowledge of legal terminologies, procedures, protocols, and court systems.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office and experience working with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, etc.)
  4. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  6. High degree of discretion when handling confidential information.
  7. A Bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
