Fleet Manager

Manages a team of 2 Associates who perform the following tasks for 400+ service vans, PSR trucks and DOT vehicles.

• Conduct GPS audits
• Work with the van maintenance program through the fuel card system
• Manage fuel card ordering and assignment (transition from Purchasing)
• Manage vehicle registrations and inspections
• Approve maintenance and damage repairs
• Set-up new vans, working with vendors to install wrapping, tooling, etc.
• Track all van assignments, swaps and returns for new hires and current technicians
• Set-up vendors for maintenance, van cleanings, etc.
• Work with service to make changes to van tooling and set-up
• Create vendor relationships and pricing for all locations, using our size as leverage for discounting
• All of Addison’s van assignments, swaps, etc. that the FSM’s used to do (testing to see how this works and implement in other locations)
• Coordinate GPS camera installs at all locations
• Work with dealerships on timing of delivery for new vans, trucks, etc.; ensuring all equipment and requirements are installed
• 1st PROJECT: Set-up an online Fleet system that interfaces with our current providers (GPS, fuel) to track maintenance, fuel cost, mileage, vehicle damage, van audits, etc. all in 1 place
• Manage and monitor mileage on routes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency in fuel and time
• Manage the scrap program for older and/or totaled vehicles

Fleet Management experience required. Understanding of routing, company vehicle set-up, fuel usage and GPS Tracking a must.
