IT Director

LaSalle Network has partnered with a prominent manufacturing company in the Chicagoland area, seeking an experienced and visionary IT Director to lead their technology initiatives. This company operates within a dynamic industry, relying on robust infrastructure, cybersecurity measures and operational technology to drive efficiency and innovation in their manufacturing processes.

As the IT Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of the manufacturing company. You will lead a team of IT professionals and collaborate closely with senior management to develop and execute strategic IT initiatives that support the company's growth objectives. This position requires a dynamic leader with expertise in infrastructure, cybersecurity and operational technology.

IT Director Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company's business goals and objectives
• Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers and storage systems
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures and controls to protect the company's data, systems and intellectual property from cyber threats
• Lead the integration of technology into the manufacturing processes, leveraging operational technology solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity and quality
• Project Management: Manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business requirements
• Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and solutions
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practices related to IT, cybersecurity and operational technology
• Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
• Develop and manage the IT budget, allocating resources effectively and prioritizing investments based on business needs and priorities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand their technology needs and requirements, and develop solutions that drive value for the business

IT Director Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on infrastructure, cybersecurity and operational technology.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies that drive business growth and innovation
• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, cybersecurity principles and operational technology solutions
• Strong project management skills, with experience leading complex IT projects from inception to completion
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Experience working in the manufacturing industry or a related field is highly desirable
