Our client, a highly respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join their professional team. In this critical role, you will provide comprehensive support to attorneys in managing all aspects of estate planning, including trust and probate administration.

Focus:

  • Prepare probate estate and trust administration documentation.
  • Draft trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, deeds, and related legal documents.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding trust and probate estate administration processes.
  • Manage client files, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with attorneys to ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring that all deadlines are met and proper documentation is kept.
  • Assist in preparing and filing probate petitions and other relevant legal forms.
  • Work with clients, financial institutions, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information.
  • Perform legal research as required and assist attorneys in case preparation.


Skill Set:

  • A Paralegal certificate or degree in Paralegal Studies from an ABA-approved program is required OR Bachelor's degree and a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estate Planning Paralegal, with a focus on trust and probate administration.
  • Strong experience in preparing estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience working independently, with a strong capacity for critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, and familiarity with legal software programs.
  • Must be willing to work onsite in the office.
