Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, managing subcontractors, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience working as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects with a value exceeding $15 million.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, including subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Ensure that projects are completed according to specifications, plans, and schedules, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate delays or disruptions.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including bidding, selection, and contract administration.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses, and identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience working as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects, with a focus on projects exceeding $15 million in value.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and build collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification and other relevant industry certifications preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
