Blackfield Associates are currently supporting a large pharmaceutical manufacturer in Philadelphia with their search for a Senior DeltaV Engineer on a staff hire basis.


This role provides the opportunity for a strong DeltaV Engineer to step into global automation projects and deliver $100mil+ new build projects as a team lead/SME.


This is a key hire and we're looking to engage in discussions immediately. Please note, this role is not offering H1B Transfer OR Visa sponsorship at this time.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical DeltaV activities and solutions within process areas.
  • Vendor management and multi-function global collaboration in projects and operations.
  • Contribute to the assembly, qualification, and automation of facilities, equipment, and utility systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures.
  • Ensure that cGMP and HSE requirements are integrated into early design phases and design specifications.
  • Oversee construction, assembly, commissioning, and qualification of engineering projects, maintaining close supervision throughout.
  • Provide regular progress reports, including pending items and deadlines.
  • Apply engineering knowledge and contribute to area processes, procedures, and projects.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics/Automation, Civil) or similar scientific field.
  • Relevant experience in installation management, equipment qualification, and electronic/automation within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Strong experience with DeltaV DCS systems.
  • Knowledge of batch processes, GMP, GAMP and S88 standards.
  • Understanding of legislation applicable to engineering projects and quality requirements for technical installations.
  • Knowledge of equipment (Mechanical, E&I), quality standards, cGxPs, ICH, ISPE, and ISO guidelines.
