Senior Manager Environment Health Safety

Sci-Rec have partnered with a market leading IVD organisation on a Senior Manager Enviornment, Health & Safety position, that will lead all aspects of developing strategy and implementing EHS Programs at their Manufacturing site in Fremont.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Developing a safety strategy and carrying out Safety Policies and Procedures in accordance with all local, state, federal, and corporate safety requirements
  • Ensure Environmental Program Compliance to include air, wastewater, hazardous waste, and storm water permitting as required
  • Leading their Injury Illness & Prevention Program, Hazardous Communication Plan,
  • Developing a management strategy to ensure compliance with EHS and Facilities regulations and codes
  • Lead the Employee Safety Training Program


The ideal candidate will possess:


  • 7+ years demonstrated ability and experience in an environmental health and safety related field
  • Technical and practical experience within biotechnology, R&D, and manufacturing
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and local EHS regulations, including Cal/OSHA and EPA
  • Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities
