The Grant Development Specialist Role:

The Grant Development Specialist is Aspire’s principal grant writer playing a crucial role in securing funding opportunities to support our world wide educational mission. They will be supported in this work by the Co-founders, the Executive Director, the Communications and Marketing Manager, the Finance Director and a grants development consultant.


Work Expectation:

40 hours per week in a fast-paced, start-up environment. Staff typically work remotely Monday and Friday and in-person at Aspire’s office in Cambridge, MA., Tuesday – Thursday.


Skills, Qualifications and Accomplishments:

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as nonprofit management, education, communications, or public administration.

Experience in grant writing or development, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and grant proposals.

Strong research skills and the ability to effectively gather and synthesize information from diverse sources.

Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software is a plus.
