Location: Hybrid - MUST be located in or near Oakland, Honolulu, Chicago, or Phoenix. Relocation is not offered.
About the Role: We are seeking a talented Okta IAM Engineer who is looking for a long-term home. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Okta SSO platforms and technologies. This role is primarily tasked with supporting the application access and permissions integration of key IAM tools, specifically Okta, and administering Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions such as DUO, Okta Verify, and YubiKey.
What You’ll Do:
- Administer user access and privileges in Okta.
- Assist with new integrations and the introduction of additional security controls to enhance our IAM posture.
- Administer Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), specifically DUO and Okta Verify.
- Provide support for SOX Audit processes, focusing on User Access and Entitlement reviews.
- Troubleshoot Active Directory user account issues at Level 2 and escalate appropriately when needed.
- Create and maintain support documentation.
- Participate in IAM projects and initiatives.
- Assist the IAM team with any ad-hoc requests.
- Educate end users on frequently used security tools such as Okta and Duo.
- Produce and analyze various reports.
You Have These Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Authentication, SSO, MFA, and IAM (Okta SSO and DUO MFA preferred).
- Primary skill set in Identity and Access Management, which includes Authn, MFA workflows, automation, least privileged access, OIDC, and SAML.
- Intimately familiar with IAM-related protocols such as SAML, SCIM, OpenID, and OAuth.
- Experience performing design and documentation reviews and providing guidance to technical teams.
- Strong experience with Active Directory, Federation, Delegated administration, and API gateways.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to think “out of the box.”
- Must be able to work independently and with a team, under minimal supervision.
- Good knowledge of scripting languages, preferably Powershell.
- At least 4 years analyzing and troubleshooting user account/access problems.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred, but any ITSM is okay).
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite – mainly MS Word and MS Excel.
- Support SOX Audit processes, focusing on user access and entitlement reviews.
- Quick learner, able to adapt to changes rapidly.
