We currently have five local stores where we connect customers with products that are insanely delicious and powerfully nutritious. We sell cold pressed juices and cashew milks, and in our shops we make superfood-focused smoothies and smoothie bowls alongside our signature waffles and avocado toast. We take pride in the products we make as well as the environment we’ve created with a distinct, comfortable and clean aesthetic. Our team is welcoming and friendly. Our interactions are genuine and tailored to each customer’s needs. Our goal is to always leave guests feeling better after they leave our shop than when they walked in.


Shop Manager Qualifications:

You love the idea of running a small business in Vienna, VA. You can imagine opening the door each morning, setting up shop and connecting the community with an elevated daily dose of wellness by providing the most delicious, nutrient-dense products nature has to offer. We are looking for an Hourly Shop Manager with a commitment to providing a consistent and unparalleled customer experience.

  • You have previous retail or food service experience at the supervisory level.

  • You work quickly and efficiently and bring a lighthearted attitude to the process.
  • You have excellent communication skills, you are direct, honest and kind.

  • You’re detail oriented. You easily identify what needs to be done and teach others to do the same.
  • You have, or can obtain, a Food Handler Certificate as required by city or state.


Job responsibilities:

  • You set the highest standards for customer service and are committed to representing the Greenheart brand in everything you do.
  • You connect guests with products that suit their tastes and best meet their needs.
  • Ensure guests are provided samples of juices, milks, salads or waffles.
  • Supervise the opening of the kitchen, setting up ingredients and prep stations to make smoothies, bowls and waffles.
  • Work alongside team members, carefully following recipes to create our in-shop menu items with a focus on accuracy, consistency and presentation.
  • Make sure the kitchen is kept clean by helping to wash dishes and wipe down countertops and blenders between orders. Always complying with food safety regulations.
  • Use the POS system to quickly and accurately check out guests.
  • Oversee daily delivery, assisting drivers with shipment, unpacking coolers and stocking retail fridges, organizing by item and date, checking the invoice for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage online inventory, seeing that it is updated to reflect current product availability through the day.
  • Work with the Area Manager to place orders to replenish shop ingredients and supplies.
  • Evaluate day-of coverage, cutting or adding (extending) shifts as needed in response to business needs.
  • Help to maintain presentation standards of the retail cases by keeping the bottles organized, front and center and in the correct chronological order.
  • Supervise end of day duties including closing the kitchen and cleaning the shop.
  • Conduct daily end of day inventory count.
  • Solve customer order issues quickly and efficiently.
  • When you are not in the shop yourself, you have a capable, well trained team in place to provide the same level of service.

  • Controlling your inventory for each product sold in the shop and ordering necessary items to maintain those levels.
  • Training new team members.
  • Track shop maintenance needs and coordinate with area manager when necessary to ensure equipment is in proper working order.
  • Connect with your local community to cultivate relationships among local businesses.


Physical Requirements:

  • You must physically be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • You must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • You must be able to read and comprehend information and follow instructions accurately and effectively.


Availability:

Our shops are open from 8am-6pm daily, including holidays (closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas).

With few exceptions we are out of the shop by 6:30pm each day and get our team home in time for dinner. As an hourly shop manager you have flexible availability and can cover shifts outside of your schedule if needed.


Requirements:

Food service or retail sales experience is preferred.

Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

A steady, stable employment track record.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to build relationships with guests, team members and management.


Compensation: $20/hour, plus tips.
