Position: (Sr & Mid-Level) Mechanical Piping Designer

Location (hybrid or remote flexibility if applicable): Hybrid in Westlake, OH

Shifts/Schedule: First Shift

Contract/Perm: Contract to Hire or Contract or Perm (candidates preference)

Must Haves:

Must Haves:

• 10+ years of experience designing and drawing mechanical / piping design.
• 12+ years of experience for Senior
• General knowledge of mechanical and electrical system design.
• Utilization of Plant3D to design and layout processes.
• Converting P&IDs into 3D piping system models.
• Experience with Orthographic drawings.
• Ability to use CADWorx to create 3D piping models.
• Understanding and knowledge of applicable codes.
• Proficient in the use of computer for design and understand CAD operations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, and the client.
• Senior – need to have client interaction (90/10 split between drafting/client interaction)

Proficient in the PC/windows environment with experience in e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.

Day-To-Day: Insight Global is looking for Sr & Mid-Level Mechanical Piping Designers for one of our engineering consulting clients in Westlake, OH. This person will be working with lead engineers on projects, the designer will be drawing piping systems. They will need to be able to prepare and complete designs from general drawings and instructions for the project manager’s approval. This candidate will also need to perform complex design calculations under an engineer’s direction.

Compensation:

$35/hr to $50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
