An employer in San Diego is looking to hire several Engineering Technicians of various levels to join their team. This person will provide support to new capability engineering work, including design, evaluation, planning, testing and operation of C4ISR electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment, and systems. This individual will perform assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects, or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently. This role requires a driven individual with strong communication skills and a self-starter attitude. This role will be 100% onsite in San Diego (Old Town) area.


Desired Skills and Experience:

- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance

- 4+ years of recent C4ISR or other relevant experience in manufacturing, repairing, design, modifications, builds, installation, testing, analyzing and interpreting documents, schematics and drawings, and recommending corrective actions with regard to C4ISR equipment.

- Ability to troubleshoot circuit boards to the component level.

- Knowledge and experience in Military Electronic Standards.

- Team-Player mentality; ability work alongside other technicians and engineers for information and recommendations.


Plusses:

- Active Secret Clearance

- Completion of "A school" or "C school" in military for electronics

- Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline



Compensation:

60-80k

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
