Certified Weld Inspector

Essential Functions:

• Perform thorough welding and grinding inspections on various materials and parts.
• Maintain comprehensive weld process documentation.
• Ensure appropriate welding equipment is utilized and capable of meeting project requirements.
• Validate compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
• Maintain records of customer approvals, approved processes, and procedures.
• Document all weld failures in accordance with quality management systems.
• Review weld mapping on engineering layouts for structural integrity.
• Uphold quality control and assurance standards to meet project specifications.
• Interpret project specifications and drawings accurately.
• Fulfill any additional duties assigned by management.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Current AWS CWI Certification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on weld/fabrication roles.
• Must meet Export Control Compliance requirements (as defined by 22.C.F.R.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding American Welding Standards (AWS) and customer-specific welding standards.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and understand standard welding symbols.
• Knowledge of GD&T Symbols and terminology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
• Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance preferred.
