Position Overview
Special Education Teacher for the 2025/26 school year in Chula Vista, CA.
- Salary: $2210 per week (weekly pay via direct deposit)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Start date: August 11, 2025
Responsibilities
- Provide quality educational services to special education students kindergarten through grade 12.
- Collaborate with the Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff to plan and implement student programs.
- Deliver special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
- Valid state teaching certificate required by state contract/district regulations.
- At least one year of teaching experience in a classroom (preferred).
- Teacher Certification – Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special (preferred).
- Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement (LBS1) preferred.
- Current CPR certification, if applicable.
- Completed TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x‑ray if applicable.
- Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
