Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Wetland Biologist at Scheibe Consulting in Austin, TX. The Wetland Biologist will be responsible for conducting field surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and studying the ecological and environmental aspects of wetlands. This role will include establishing an environmental inspection and permitting department with the goal of provide customers with services such as, Phase 1 ESAs, NEPA compliance services, wetland delineations, Corps permitting, and general environmental professional services. The role will involve collaborating with a team of professionals to assess wetland conditions, analyze habitat characteristics, and provide recommendations for wetland protection and restoration.

• Experience with laboratory skills, wildlife, and ecology
• Knowledge of microbiology and research techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to accurately record data
• Experience in wetland biology or related field is required
• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum 5 years experience in wetland delineations, NWP applications, and Phase 1 ESAs.
