Ross Design Architects is a small Architectural firm focused on custom residential, and boutique retail design. A large amount of our work is residential renovation and as such, we are not limited by style, but by the client’s needs. Working out of the principal’s home based studio, the firm is relaxed, yet professional.


Responsibilities

We are seeking an Architect with 3-5 years experience to become an integral part of our design and production team. You would develop project concepts, and work with interns to create complete construction documents.


Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in Field measuring projects
  • Producing As-Built Documentation for renovation projects
  • Maintain firm detail library as created
  • Assist in supervising itern producion
  • Zoning Research
  • Material and product research for design and detailing
  • Production drafting
  • Coordinating with consultants
  • Presentations
  • Creating marketing material for social media


Qualifications

We are seeking a person who has the technical capacity to work independently; the curiosity and interest in actively exploring and discussing design solutions; the capacity to recognize potential design issues and bring them forward. The candidate will ideally have an open mind to work iteratively and is excited to work in a collaborative environment.

·   Professional (5-year or Masters) degree in Architecture

·   3-5 years experience in a residential design preferred, but not required + on path to registration

·   Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, Twinmotion a plus.

·   Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to independently follow through on assigned tasks.

·   Excellent mentorship attributes to guide junior staff

·   Positive Attitude

·   Work experience in small buildings, historic structures, and interior fit-outs and renovations is a plus
