SENIOR MANAGER, INNOVATION PROJECT MANAGEMENT


Overview

This Senior Manager, Innovation Project Management is responsible for designing and implementing structured innovation processes, including stage gate methodologies, to facilitate the systematic evaluation and advancement of innovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in innovation management, project management, and consumer healthcare, with a proven track record of success in driving innovation initiatives and managing complex projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Customize and implement structured innovation processes tailored to the organization's needs and objectives.
  • Establish stage gate processes for evaluating and advancing innovation projects, criteria and metrics for project selection, evaluation, and decision-making.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to employees involved in innovation projects to ensure compliance with process requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to execute projects successfully, driving collaboration and alignment across the organization.
  • Lead key priority strategic projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Develop project plans, define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and establish timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project performance, track progress against goals, and provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate stage gate reviews and decision meetings with key stakeholders to assess progress, make decisions on whether to advance, modify, or terminate projects.
  • Ensure decisions are data-driven, transparent, and aligned with business goals based on risk and opportunity profiles.
  • Identify potential risks and obstacles to project success and develop mitigation strategies to address.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization, streamlining, and enhancement to improve innovation outcomes and accelerate time to market.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in innovation management and project management in the CPG industry (Preferably in consumer healthcare).
  • Strong understanding of innovation methodologies, stage gate processes, and project management principles (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Proven track record of successfully leading innovation initiatives and managing complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.


*Please note that you must have experience as a Project Manager for the Innovation of new products within the CPG industry: either consumer healthcare, OTC, dietary supplements, personal care items, health and beauty products, or food and beverage.
