Work with TrustThink to engineer modern encryption and cryptographic key management systems. Be part of an exciting team that designs and develops approaches and solutions for Cryptographic Modernization (CM2).


This position performs systems engineering to document use cases, identify and document requirements, and design solutions for the next generation of cryptographic hardware and software. Align cryptography with modern approaches to network and operations management, and drive adoption of cryptography across unmanned and tactical use cases. Help define new approaches to key management, including distributed Public Key Infrastructures (PKI), certificate management processes, and over the network distributions. Integrate designs and architectures into model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools.


Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team to analyze documentation, meet with stakeholders, and document use cases.
  • Write and manage requirements and ensure traceability to Stakeholder Needs.
  • Participate solutions engineering through brainstorming sessions and independent research.
  • Identify opportunities to apply modern cryptography to new use cases.
  • Conduct research and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness and security of cryptographic systems and key management methodologies.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to cross-functional teams on the design, development, and implementation of secure cryptographic solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and implement cryptographic requirements for various projects.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and regulations related to cryptographic systems and key management.


Requirements:

  • A SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED.   
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in cryptographic systems and cryptographic key management.
  • An understanding of PKI / X.509 is helpful.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex cryptographic systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Active security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM or Security+ are preferred.
