Job Details
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of engineering, including electrical systems, pneumatic systems, PLC programming, and welding. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. The role demands a commitment to quality control, inventory management, and adherence to safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
2. Operate a variety of power and hand tools to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions to ensure correct and efficient completion of tasks.
4. Manage inventory of equipment parts and supplies, and initiate reordering when necessary.
5. Ensure all work complies with safety procedures and quality control standards.
6. Operate machinery as required, adhering to all safety guidelines.
7. Work collaboratively with the engineering team to improve systems and processes.
8. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues.
9. Perform welding tasks as required, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
10. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work for future reference.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the engineering industry or a similar role.
2. Proven experience with electrical systems, pneumatic systems, PLC programming, and welding.
3. Proficient in the use of power and hand tools.
4. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
5. Experience in equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance and repairs.
6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions.
7. Strong inventory management skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
8. Commitment to quality control and adherence to safety procedures.
9. Excellent mechanical skills with the ability to operate a variety of machinery.
10. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
11. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in a relevant field is a plus.
