At Diamond Peak Recruiting, we are working on behalf of a top-tier commercial general contractor in South Florida that specializes in large-scale, ground-up commercial construction projects. Known for their excellence in the industry, our client is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to join their team and lead high-profile projects across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.


Position Overview:

The Commercial Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring that large-scale, ground-up commercial construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience managing ground-up commercial projects valued at $15 million or more. Experience on municipal and K-12 projects is a plus.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of ground-up commercial construction projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Lead on-site operations, coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and labor teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and vendors, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify any potential issues, and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment for all on-site teams.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Proven track record of managing projects valued at $15 million or more.
  • Experience with municipal and K-12 projects is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficient in construction management software and project reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
