Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineering Technician to bolster our team within the esteemed Black & Veatch Governments & Water Utilities (G&Wu) division. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our clients' diverse needs, focusing on water, wastewater, linear pipelines, and associated solutions. Your expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley Microstation will be pivotal in crafting meticulous site drainage, grading, and utility plans.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley Microstation to meticulously craft site drainage, grading, and utility plans, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to fellow engineering technicians, fostering collaboration and ensuring project objectives are achieved with precision and efficiency.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive engineering solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Demonstrate keen attention to detail in interpreting engineering deliverables, swiftly identifying areas for optimization and implementing necessary modifications.
  • Adhere rigorously to engineering standards, document control processes, and departmental guidelines, ensuring the highest levels of quality and compliance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, contributing to the continuous enhancement of company quality programs and processes.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of construction practices, engineering design principles, and applicable design guides to project execution, driving optimal outcomes.
  • Provide support in procurement and contract administration processes as required, ensuring seamless project execution and client satisfaction.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bluebeam, with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in civil engineering.
  • Diploma or Certificate preferred; Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, document control procedures, and quality programs, coupled with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of engineering standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies, with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Solid grasp of construction practices, engineering design principles, and contract administration, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
