We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Web Designer to work with our client for a two week project. This person will play a key role in the creation and implementation of their web branding strategy for a variety of audiences. The Successful candidate should have experience using tools like Figma, have a solid understanding of website layout in WordPress and are adept at creating meaningful and relevant logos intended for web use.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Designing engaging and responsive web layouts using WordPress.
  2. Ensuring user experience determines design choices.
  3. Developing features to enhance the user experience.
  4. Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
  5. Ensuring websites are optimized for smartphones.
  6. Building reusable code for future use.
  7. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with a keen eye for detail.
  8. Designing visuals imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
  9. Working with different content management systems.
  10. Testing and improving the design of the website.
  11. Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
  12. Creating website logos and banners with branding in mind.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Web Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Proven understanding of graphic design fundamentals.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other visual design tools.
  4. Experience with Figma and other relevant design tools is a prerequisite.
  5. Proficient with front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery.
  6. Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems.
  7. Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
  8. Understanding of SEO principles.
  9. Good problem-solving skills.
  10. Excellent visual design skills.
  11. Ability to work in a team or individually.
