Primary Mission of the Role: As a Logistics Associate, you will support our Goleta, CA logistics team by performing key logistics processes with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. With 5 years of experience in warehouse shipping and receiving, preferably within defense, aerospace, or manufacturing environments, you will work independently while ensuring high-quality results. This role requires strict adherence to safety standards, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during tasks. You will also be a key team player, demonstrating collaboration and communication skills, which are essential for success in our dynamic logistics department.


Main Functions of the Role: The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant shipment of parts, components, subcomponents, and related materials. Key tasks include:

  • Generating and preparing shipping documentation in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
  • Completing required forms, labels, and certifications accurately for each shipment.
  • Adhering to military packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements.
  • Ensuring proper classification, hazardous material documentation, and compliance with the Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) and DoD regulations.


Required Skill Sets:

  • Strong understanding of logistics processes, warehouse management, and shipping procedures.
  • Ability to follow Raytheon safety guidelines.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (SAP preferred).


Desired Skill Sets:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with multitasking requirements.
  • Experience using UPS/FEDEX online software.
  • Familiarity with proper packaging methods per industry specifications.
  • Previous Hazmat training or certification is a plus.


Years of Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in warehouse shipping and receiving, preferably within defense, aerospace, or manufacturing environments.

Education Level:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
