Product Coordinator – Outdoor Gear

Location: Greater Kansas City Area (Full-Time)


We’re excited to offer a full-time opportunity for a Product Coordinator to join our team in the greater Kansas City area. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Product Manager and Category Leader to ensure the successful launch of products across multiple channels. You’ll coordinate the execution of product and marketing tasks and act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and customer appeal.


Responsibilities


Product Setup & Content Management:

  • Manage product setup and content updates for retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Coordinate packaging workflows, including translations, layout reviews, and approvals.
  • Oversee content creation such as imagery, feature callouts, and compliance labels to meet channel-specific standards.

Photography & Compliance Oversight:

  • Develop shot lists and organize lifestyle and product photography sessions.
  • Ensure proper product setup during photoshoots and highlight key features.
  • Manage compliance tasks like color testing, pre-production testing, and adherence to regional product standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a bridge between Product Management, Graphic Design, Brand, and Business Development teams to align priorities and approvals.
  • Collaborate with factories to address production needs, manage inputs, and resolve packaging or compliance issues.
  • Partner with retailers to coordinate review processes, gather customer feedback, and ensure payment processing.

Execution & Process Optimization:

  • Provide quick-turn updates to packaging, content, or configurations as needed.
  • Monitor execution across SKUs, ensuring readiness for in-store and online sales.
  • Ensure carry-forward and new products align with business goals.

Product Sample Management:

  • Coordinate sample shipments from factories to internal teams and buyers.
  • Label and organize product samples in the warehouse.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of available product samples.

 

Qualifications


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with content management systems is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Interest in outdoor or lifestyle products.
  • Familiarity with retail or e-commerce operations.
  • Experience with Adobe tools or project management software (preferred but not required).
  • Previous experience in project coordination or packaging (internships count).
