Apparel Buyer

24 Seven is partnering with one of their top apparel and footwear manufacturer companies based in Portland, OR to help them find an Apparel Buyer to join their team in this hybrid role. This is a full-time, direct hire, salaried position with excellent benefits.

Ideal Candidate: will have 3-5+ years of experience in retail buying, planning and/or product management.

The Apparel Buyer will drive the North America business through building consumer right assortments by using consumer insights, historical data, analytics, and real-time market feedback to advise future seasons while optimizing current performance.

Key Accountabilities:

• Deliver seasonal assortment strategies and determining unit investment and buy depth

• Recap business on a weekly cadence, analyze the business against forecast, manage inventories, and provide actionable insights

• Execute seasonal readiness in partnership with allocation and site merchandising partners

• Develop long-term strategy for apparel business, drive classification excellence and portfolio management, and leverage business insights to inform future opportunities

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience in retail buying, planning and/or product management with a strong understanding of key retail metrics and ability to drive business results

• Proven balance of art and science in decision-making

• Strategic mindset and ability to develop and drive strategy to take business to new places

• Ability to create and drive process with high attention to detail and follow-through

• Ability to foster and drive strong cross-functional partnerships and influence others into action

• Provide mentorship and coaching to teammates

• Strong affinity for current market trends and how the brand can continue to be a style leader in the marketplace
