RNG Project Manager (Field) Location:

Remote, Travel Job Type: Salaried

Reports to Director – Engineering & Project Execution


This position’s primary responsibility is overall management of Engineering, Procurement and Construction on LFG to RNG projects. The PM will work with the development team in areas such as permitting, optimization of layouts, development of engineering and construction contracts, interaction with end users and ensuring the projects meet safety, schedule and cost requirements.


Prospective candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Project Management of projects of $30M or greater value. Oil and gas experience is a strong preference with a background in contract, cost and schedule management as well as change management.


Candidate should have strong inter-personal skills and be able to lead a team and have the ability to multi-task as they will have multiple projects to oversee. Additional requirements include strong written and spoken communication skills, proactive problem-solving skills, ability to travel +/-30-50% of the time to sites.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead a project team(s) in all phases of execution on renewable natural gas projects.

• Promote and exemplify Vision RNG’s strong safety-first corporate value.

• Ensure project safety, quality, cost and schedule requirements are promoted and met.

• Work with contracts and procurement team to quote and negotiate orders and construction subcontracts.

• Manage various contract types from T&M/Cost Plus to Fixed Price Lump Sum.

• Manage engineering and construction interfaces.

• Establish and manage project schedule to meet established milestones.

• Establish and manage project engineering, procurement and construction budgets using established forecasting and change management techniques.

• Control and forecast costs through active change management.

• Proactively address issues that arise during execution through collaboration with engineering, construction, and suppliers/vendors.

• Foster relationships with landfill owner managers, pipeline ROW landowners, local and state environmental departments.

• Other duties or projects as assigned.


Requirements: • B.S. degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.

• 5 years of experience in small project EPC execution.

• Mid-Stream/gas processing or RNG experience.

•Experience with multiple contract types.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Including MS Project.

• Appropriate and professional oral and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including effective management of multiple priorities, strong organizational skills, maintenance of business relationships, and team building.

• Self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of operating independently.

• The ability to travel w/overnight stay (30-50% travel time)
