Acara Solutions, one of the country's largest advanced manufacturing staffing services firms, is helping our global manufacturing client find a PLC Programmer / Electrician / Electronic Technician to join their organization as a full time direct employee at their Everett, WA plant. Their hourly rate range target is $40 - $45. Full benefits, including lots of PTO and holidays.
Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrician / Electronic Technician specializing in Industrial Controls. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment with a focus on industrial control systems. This role requires a strong understanding of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), PLC Programming, and ideally SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and other related technologies used in industrial automation.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and industrial control components such as PLCs, HMIs, motor controls, sensors, and switches.
- Perform preventive maintenance routines to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
- Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Calibrate instrumentation and verify system operation following repairs or modifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and equipment status.
- Participate in training programs to stay current with technological advancements in industrial controls.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Min 2 years of experience in industrial control systems, PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), and ideally SCADA systems.
High School graduate (Associate's degree or certification in electrical engineering technology or similar preferred)
Min 5 years of experience as an electrician or electronic technician in a manufacturing or plant related position that includes the following:
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
- Understanding of safety regulations and practices related to electrical systems.
