Title: Principal Electrical Engineer (EMI)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on EMI/EMC design, ensuring compliance through oversight of grounding, shielding, transmission lines, and filter design.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance desensitization of aircraft systems, offering mentorship and leadership to a diverse team.
  • Develop, review, and modify EMI test plans, procedures, and reports, identifying opportunities to improve system resistance to the electromagnetic environment.
  • Take ownership of EMI/EMC design control in major program Design Reviews and trade-off analyses.
  • Investigate and understand interference signal mechanisms, devising mitigation solutions within size, weight, and power constraints.
  • Lead advancements in design, testing, and compliance processes within the RF team.
  • Define test procedures and requirements, providing training to operators and technicians for flawless execution.
  • Foster collaboration by mentoring teammates, sharing knowledge, and facilitating their professional growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Possess 7+ years of industry experience as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of specialized experience in EMI/EMC.
  • Demonstrate strong technical fundamentals.
  • Lead at least one product through compliance certification.
  • Utilize software tools, such as LTSpice.
  • Interpret circuit schematics, PCB layouts, engineering drawings, BOMs, cable harnesses, wiring schematics, interface diagrams, layout drawings, and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience in product design involving cross-functional collaboration with teams, including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Development, Manufacturing, and Production.
