Who are the Framers at FrameTec?

Under the direction of the Framing Foreman, a Framer at FrameTec is responsible for the wood framing of various types of constructions projects ensuring that the specific assigned framing projects are on schedule and that quality and safety standards are met.


Core Responsibilities of a Framer at FrameTec:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to ensure assigned framing jobs are accurately completed.
  • Operate needed tools such as nail guns, saws, hammers, measuring tapes, ladders and other tools in a safe manner.
  • Construct assigned projects using FrameTec’s preconstructed panels and trusses.
  • Assemble floors and walls to plan specifications.
  • Maintenance of job sites with respect to cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to solve problems when issues arise on the jobsite.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Framers at FrameTec Should Have the Following:

  • Technical Expertise – Strong and current working knowledge of wood framing techniques, tools and materials.
  • Strategic Thinking – Understand challenges presented on jobsite and comfortable developing plans to work through challenges; adaptable to changing conditions.
  • Verbal and Written Communication – Ability to relay information as needed in both verbal and written form.
  • Safety First Mindset – Ensure that all tasks associated with wood framing are completed in a safe manner, considering not only self but others at FrameTec and others on the customer jobsite.
  • Punctuality.

Miscellaneous Requirements to be Part of the FrameTec Framing Operations Team:

  • 2+ current years of wood framing experience is required.
  • Ability to read structural and architectural plans.
  • The ability to plan, project and prioritize in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Be highly motivated and be able to work independently as well as be a collaborative team member.
  • The ability to lift and move components that may weigh more than 100 pounds.
  • Comfortable with and knowledge of safety requirements in working from heights.
  • A strong resonance with the FrameTec mission, vision, and values.

Classification:

Full-time, non-exempt.
