Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

  • Responsible for educating plant personnel on proper equipment operation, tuning and maintenance
  • Daily involvement in either long distance or hands-on troubleshooting
  • Responsible for maintaining records and logs for various programs
  • Daily communication with both management and hourly employees at the Plant and Corporate Levels
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s/Associates degree, applicable training certification, or related work experience.
  • Willingness to travel about 80%, including some international travel.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and excel within an ever changing and dynamic environment.
  • Have the ability to program and understand sorting machine programs and PLC code.
  • Proficient in MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with  Rockwell Controls Software  and AutoCAD desirable.
  • Open to working flexible hours in order to meet production goals.
