Director of Information Technology

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Director of IT with recent hands on experience to oversee an IT department and ensure that the technology infrastructure supports the company's objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of implementing and managing IT initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the IT department.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
- Oversee IT support operations to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and excellent customer service for all users.
- Manage and mentor IT Support, Systems Engineering, and Network Engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades, network expansions, and infrastructure improvements.
- Monitor IT performance metrics and implement measures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in IT management and technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing IT support, systems engineering, and network engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, VCP or PMP are a plus.
- Experience working in [specific industry/sector].
- Experience with cloud computing technologies and services.
