We are looking for a Senior AV Systems Technician who will be responsible for managing two teams that are vital to achieving our customer satisfaction goals: technical support and production. This person will be our in-house technical expert, and will hire, coach, mentor, and develop staff to achieve departmental objectives. The Senior AV Systems Technician will collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Warehouse departments to achieve company objectives.


Key Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in engineering, computer science, or technology
  • 7+ years’ hands-on experience in residential/commercial A/V & control systems or professional audio sound engineering or systems design
  • Experience with smart-home technologies including but not limited to: loudspeakers, amplifiers, transformers, landscape lighting, home control systems (Control4, Savant, Crestron), Home Networking (Wi-Fi, routers), HDMI, Dante, etc.
  • Customer service mindset. Always striving to improve our customers’ experience with the brand. Understands how their role affects our customers’ experience.
  • Naturally inclined to help colleagues with a smile. Speaks transparently and with empathy. Willing to contribute to a tight-knit team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills. Able to set a weekly, monthly, quarterly routine and stick to it.
  • Agility to multi-task without stress. Able to move from task to task, organize, and prioritize to ensure the right things are accomplished on time and on-quality.

What You’ll Do

As Senior AV Systems Technician, you will directly supervise two teams for a total of 5-10 staff. You will set goals and objectives for these teams to achieve customer satisfaction, cost, quality, and efficiency standards. You will be an expert in both our outdoor audio and lighting products as well as all relevant home/commercial technologies. You will evaluate our current processes and optimize them to be the best that they can be. You will work with a variety of passionate teams to make and troubleshoot our products. You will design, specify, troubleshoot, and repair complex systems for both home and commercial applications. You will effectively supervise and train both technical support staff and a production team to provide customer service excellence. You will oversee our RMA process, building an efficient system with clear trends to lead to real product and process change. You will help develop white papers, manuals, and short product videos on our products and relevant technologies to assist both our dealers and our team. You will oversee the production of a variety of lighting and audio products, ensuring that the team is operating at their best, producing a product that our customers can rely on.
