A global automotive seals and gaskets parts manufacturing company is currently seeking a motivated Entry level Quality Engineer to join their facility in the Novi, MI area.


The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ work experience in automotive industry including Co-op and internship, and the ability to interface effectively with customers and suppliers but Entry level candidates and new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply


This is a full-time, direct hire position.



Entry Level Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development stage for APQP including model reviews, quality system audit and evaluation
  • Responsible for coordinating PPAP for new parts, ensure the requirements, and improve the process as needed
  • Responsible coordinating PCR request from clients and make sure all the changes are meeting customer’s requirements
  • Responsible for Quality claims and monitor the quality records and effectiveness
  • Use ISO 9001 and IATF16949 system to ensure the quality on production process
  • Support internal document control program
  • Support identification of process improvement opportunities
  • Support continual improvement activities
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
  • Support the deployment of Quality Management System
  • Monitor the manufacturing quality performance indicators through scrap data analysis
  • Other duties might be assigned by manager


Entry level Quality Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Industrial Technology
  • 1+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing quality assurance, cost reduction, and continual improvement will be a plus
  • Experience with ADQP, PPAP, SPC, Six Sigma, Minitab preferred
  • Experience with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 will be a plus
