The Professional Land Surveyor will be responsible for performing land surveys to identify measurements, elevations, and contours for civil construction and engineering projects.

The Land Surveyor must have an active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or extensive experience performing the work.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field work on general surveying projects, including topographic, ALTA boundary, Right of Way and As-builts, Flood Elevation Certificates, Lot Surveys.
  • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe and certify work performed.
  • Update and modify existing topographical records, maps, and previous survey results.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals on projects.
  • Use a variety of modern surveying equipment, manual recording, computer software and databases to collect and record data.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in a precise, legal, and ethical manner.
  • Direct and supervise work of the survey team including technicians and other survey personnel.
  • Communicate with clients and other professionals to understand project goals and to present survey findings.

Qualifications:
  • Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) is required in the state of work.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record that is approved by our insurance provider.
