Mechanical Engineer

ZimZee Recruiting is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a medical device client in Utah County. The engineer will design mechanical components using 3D CAD modeling tools and will help develop cutting-edge medical devices, with a focus on wearable technology.

We are seeking a talented and experienced engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design and development of our next-generation products.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, preferably in the medical device or wearables industry.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling, with Solid Works experience preferred.
• Experience with rapid prototyping techniques, particularly 3D printing.
• Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to inform the design and engineering methods required for the mechanical systems of medical devices.
• Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
• Utilize rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing, to create functional prototypes and iterate on designs.
• Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics to ensure the integrity and repeatability of our engineering efforts.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices to continuously improve products and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers, to ensure the successful integration of mechanical components into devices
• Contribute to the development of product requirements, specifications, and design guidelines.
