Position: Estimator/Drafter

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Estimator/Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in AutoCAD and a robust understanding of drafting and estimation processes within the construction building materials sector.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Estimate material requirements and costs based on project specifications.
  • Work closely with the sales and project management teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings to prepare quantity takes-offs.
  • Coordinate project data and documentation necessary for submitting project proposals.
  • Assist in the development of standard estimation and drafting procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
  • Degree or certification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred or relevant experience.
  • Experience in the construction building materials industry or similar industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills to perform accurate estimations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A good understanding of construction processes and terminology.
  • Superior attention to detail with the capability to work well under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and clients.
