Robert Half has partnered with a growing manufacturing organization based in the Fort Worth, Texas area. Our established client is actively seeking an individual for an Operations Manager role.


This Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the production process within a manufacturing facility. This role involves coordinating, planning, and leading manufacturing activities to ensure efficient and timely production of goods while maintaining high quality standards. The Operations Manager will work closely with various teams to optimize processes, improve productivity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities:


Production Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency.


Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.


Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Establish and enforce quality control standards to meet product specifications.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and address quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.


Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Prepare and manage the manufacturing budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement cost control measures without compromising quality or safety.


Supplier Management:

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.


Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production staff, supervisors, and other personnel.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and engaged workforce.


Communication and Collaboration:

  • Foster effective communication channels between production teams, management, and other departments.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management, and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, make strategic decisions, and drive results.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and ERP systems.
