- Ensure optimal network performance by monitoring traffic, troubleshooting issues, and performing regular network audits and maintenance.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to design and implement network-related projects, including the integration of cloud-based solutions and remote access technologies.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and strategies for network infrastructure.
- Manage network documentation, including configurations, topologies, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical support for network-related issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Stay up to date on emerging network technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance the company's infrastructure and security.
- Work closely with external vendors to procure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software related to the network.
- Establish and enforce network policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure efficient and secure operation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a small-to-medium-sized company environment.
- Strong experience in network design, implementation, and management (LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall administration).
- In-depth understanding of network security best practices, including experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network access control systems.
