Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Position Overview:

Pride Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our healthcare team at a psychiatric hospital in the Greensboro, North Carolina area. This is a 13-week contract position offering guaranteed hours. This is an excellent opportunity for social workers looking to provide high-quality care in a dynamic, inpatient psychiatric setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently assess and provide care to patients with diagnoses such as substance use disorder, major depressive disorder (MDD), anxiety, and suicidal ideation.
  • Facilitate patient groups, including support and therapeutic sessions.
  • Work with patients to develop and implement discharge plans, ensuring follow-up recovery and care.
  • Set up transportation and identify resources to ensure patients follow through with their discharge plan.
  • Provide discharge planning, coordinating care resources, and community support systems.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RN’s, LPN’s, mental health technicians, provider residents, and APP’s.
  • Ensure patients receive appropriate aftercare and support following discharge.
  • Use EPIC software to document and track patient care and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must hold an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) license.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in psychiatric hospitals or similar settings, with a focus on case management and short-term acute care.
  • Experience with: EPIC software is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong ability to work independently, manage discharge planning, facilitate groups, and provide case management.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
