Job Details

Immediate opening for a Building Automation System (BAS) Controls Technician to join our team in Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and servicing, digital control systems while maintaining quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • BAS Project Installation & Verification:
  • Commission controls installations, ensuring control sequences meet specifications.
  • Complete and submit commissioning reports to verify controls.
  • Document installations for accurate “as-built” control drawings.
  • Organize and demonstrate required BAS project sequences to meet commissioning agents’ standards.
  • Act as the direct customer contact, representing the company.
  • Coordinate with electrical and other subcontractors to ensure proper project completion.
  • Implementing Controls Sequences, Programs, & Graphics:
  • Develop and implement databases, programs, and graphics for new construction and retrofit projects.
  • Ensure all implementations meet project specifications.
  • Service & Maintenance of Customer Sites:
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with direct digital control systems on-site.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, and make necessary replacement modifications.
  • Offer training and follow-up for customer operations personnel on-site.
  • Identify parts needed for repairs and place orders accordingly.
  • Complete and review work orders with customers for accuracy.

Requirements
  • Diploma or certificate from a two-year community college, or technical school, or 3 years of experience in BAS controls systems.
  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Distech, Siemens, Trane, Delta Controls, Automated Logic, or other
  • Tridium N4 and AX programming.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
