We are seeking an experienced Civil Public Works Project Manager with expertise in storm drains, wastewater, and sewer projects to oversee and manage our public infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and construction, with a focus on delivering high-quality, on-time, and within-budget projects in the areas of stormwater management, wastewater treatment, and sewer systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of civil public works projects related to storm drains, wastewater, and sewers, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  2. Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and other project partners, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, inspectors, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  4. Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, tracking project expenses, analyzing variances, and implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
  5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks, challenges, and obstacles that may impact project delivery, and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
  6. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and critical path activities, monitoring progress, identifying dependencies, and implementing adjustments to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  7. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards related to stormwater management, wastewater treatment, and sewer systems, conducting regular inspections and quality assurance checks.
  8. Contract Administration: Prepare, review, and administer contracts, change orders, and other project documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with project objectives and requirements.
  9. Communication and Reporting: Facilitate clear and effective communication among project stakeholders, preparing and presenting project status reports, presentations, and other communication materials as needed.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in civil engineering and public works, and actively seek opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering, project management, and public works, with a focus on storm drains, wastewater, and sewer projects.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and regulatory requirements related to stormwater management, wastewater treatment, and sewer systems.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex civil infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, with a commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile) and best practices in risk management, cost control, and schedule management.
