Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Tooling Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Developing, designing, and constructing a range of specialized tooling, including jigs, molds, and fixtures, to enhance manufacturing processes.
2. Utilizing AutoCAD to produce detailed engineering drawings and designs.
3. Conducting regular assessments of existing tooling systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes to optimize efficiency and productivity.
4. Collaborating with various teams to understand product requirements and develop tooling systems that meet these needs.
5. Troubleshooting tooling problems and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain high levels of productivity.
6. Ensuring all tooling projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
7. Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in tooling and applying this knowledge to improve our processes.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tooling design and manufacturing, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes and process improvement.
5. Strong understanding of engineering drawings, molds, jigs, and tool creation.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
