Job Description:

  • Onsite Tuesday and Thursday, remote M, W, F Is a C2 clearance needed? no Timeline
  • Target timeframe is 1-2 business days so that candidates stay engaged throughout the process*: I am available as needed – I will adjust schedules accordingly

  • Specifically speak to what they are doing with the above technologies* (are they updating, integrating, building, testing, supporting, using, administering etc?) This person will be responsible for the day-to-day operational reporting. We have recurring reports of various frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) that this person would be responsible for running and ensuring they are accurate and delivered on time. They would also be responsible for the annual maintenance process of the reports and documentation.
  • Responsible for some data entry and data validations as well.
  • Need someone who can think through situations and problems and see all the affects then create appropriate solutions, INITIATIVE – we need someone who will take ownership of their work and be willing to take the extra steps to get the best outcomes, COMMUNICATION - for interacting with all levels of management and all customers, CUSTOMER SERVICE - to ensure our customers are getting the expected outcomes in a timely manner, REQUIREMENTS GATHERING - for understanding customer need and getting to the root cause of issues so we can provide solutions, FLEXIBILITY - we move from topic to topic quickly and work in a fast paced environment, COLLABORATIVE – we work together as a team, with other teams in Internal Support, and with our customers, DETAIL ORIENTED – our analytics need to be precise Please add a few bullets/sentences about your team – size, what projects they’re working on, selling points for candidates, culture etc. I have a team of 9.
  • We do many types of work including development, research and analysis, surveys and presentations, ad-hocs, recurring reports, data entry/validation, and many other things. We have a wide variety of topics as well including budget, people data, productivity, & vendor.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes current operational functions and offers and implements improvements. Maintains databases and extracts data for analysis. Runs and reviews reports, analyzing results in support of operational functions.
  • Extracts data from multiple systems and departments using various data manipulation and extraction techniques for regular, cyclical, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Performs research, analyzes reports, and creates statistical models for presentation/review. Summarizes findings and communicates results to management.
  • Identifies operational inadequacies and uses various skills and resources to retool processes.
  • Communicates with other areas regarding outcomes and reporting

Experience:

  • 2 years of reporting and data analysis work experience OR 4 years reporting and data analysis experience.

Skills:

  • Good organizational, customer service, communications, and analytical skills. Ability to use complex mathematical calculations and understand mathematical and statistical concepts. Knowledge of relevant computer support systems.
  • Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office. Ability to acquire programming skills across various software platforms. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Negotiation or persuasion skills. Ability to acquire or knowledge of ICD9/CPT4 coding.
  • Preferred Software and Other Tools: SAS and/or DB2, or other relational database. Work Environment: Typical office environment. Some travel between buildings and out of town.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, or other related field or 2-year degree in Computer Science, Business or related field and 2 years of reporting and data analysis work experience OR 4 years reporting and data analysis experience.
