Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Summer Camp Manager, the Camp Instructor provides client guidance, instruction and supervision, and cares for all aspects of programming and structures related to the Camp Program. The major responsibilities of this position include the following but are not limited to:ResponsibilitiesProvide excellent customer service including instruction and facilitation of camp program activitiesMaintain accurate program records and logsEnsure the security and safety of camp grounds, facilities, program equipment and clientsFollow daily and seasonal program schedulesInventory and inspect program equipment and areasPrepare and care for all equipment and structures used for programmingContinual evaluation of programs and resourcesCoordinate with other department employees and managers as neededOngoing communication with the department manager for policy and standards direction, departmental development and relevant businessInventory and order equipment as neededProvide positive public relations on behalf of Pathfinder Ranch and serve as the liaison between the Ranch and client groupsComply with Health and Fire Department regulations, organizational policies and accreditation standardsOther duties as assignedJob Requirements18 years of age or olderSincere interest and ability to work with children in the outdoorsExhibit the ability to work well within the Pathfinder Ranch organization and with other employeesWilling and able to complete tasks both independently and collaboratively in a timely and accurate mannerAble to communicate effectivelyHold and maintain the following certifications issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association: First Aid, Adult & Child CPR (alternative nationally recognized provider may be accepted if at least 50% of the course is conducted in-person with a practical skills session).Complete tasks both independently and collaboratively in a timely and accurate mannerCommunicate and coordinate with participant parents/guardians/group liaisonsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.Ability to work a varied shift schedule in excess of 10 hours per dayAbility to traverse several miles per day on steep and uneven terrain in a variety of weather conditionsAbility to work at heights of up to 50 above the groundDates of WorkMay 29 - August 15, 2026Compensation$676.00 - $796.00 per weekHousingPaid Time Off (after 30 days)Health insurance options for those working multiple season
