SMH Level 3 RN Endo/GIJob Duties:Answering patient questions and addressing their concerns.
Observing patient vital signs.
Sedating patients before procedures.
Recovering patients after procedures.
Administering the necessary medication to patients.
Completing all necessary documentation including patient notes and discharge documents.
Preparing the instruments, equipment, and supplies for the procedure.
Cleaning and sterilizing equipment before use.
Providing assistance to Doctors throughout the procedure.
Administering IV drips.
Requirements:
NY license ONLYBLS Certification (AHA ONLY)ACLS Certification (AHA ONLY)2 years previous endoscopy procedure experienceTelemetry monitoring and rhythm identification RequiredConscious sedation RequiredExpert IV insertion RequiredExperience of recovering patient from general anesthesia RequiredExperience of performing intake for GI procedures Required
