AWS System Administrator

AWS System Admin provides support & expertise to the infrastructure and tech arch delivery team which includes day-to-day support for one or more applications that are deployed to the Non-Prod and Production environment hosted on AWS GovCloud.

  • Assist in the deployment, management, and monitoring of AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, NACL, Security Groups, CloudTrail, etc.
  • Help configure and optimize AWS resources to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.
  • Work with Security Groups and other security measures to protect and manage access to cloud resources.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and other team members to implement best practices and contribute to project success.
  • Develop, run tests on, implement, or maintain operating system and related software.
  • Establish and implement standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software according to specifications and parameters.
  • Troubleshoots and/or resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.
  • Schedules, performs, or monitors system backups or, when necessary, performs data recoveries.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS.

  • Intermediate proficiency in AWS Core Infrastructure and Linux Operations.
  • Applies standard methodology, techniques, procedures and criteria.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and to translate technical terminology into terms understandable to non-technical employees.
