Job Overview:

The Contracts Specialist provides support for the various stages of the contract management process. The Contract Specialist is responsible for reviewing and editing contracts according to the terms and parameters established to meet the needs of the client and sales team while also complying with organizational standards and protocols.


Responsibilities:

  • Completes primary review and validate all executed contracts, confirming compliance with internal policies and best practices. ​
  • Supports the end-to-end contract process for renewals and new business​
  • Serves as a primary point of contact questions​
  • Participates in regular review of contracts​
  • Prepares and edits contracts in accordance with internal polices and best practices that meets both the needs of the business and the client.​
  • Exercises good judgment through the contract drafting and negotiation phase​
  • Facilitates changes or adjustments as requested by the sales team or client. Uses moderate discretion in determining course of action.​
  • Collaborates with finance, legal, compliance, sales etc. to review and align on complex or ambiguous contract terms.​
  • Reviewing signed agreements and updating contract terms ​
  • Manages contracts in contract management application​


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred​
  • Paralegal, Legal Secretary, or prior experience working with contracts preferred​
  • Basic knowledge of contract law, types of contracts, terms and conditions, legal requirements and the negotiation process.​
  • Experience with contract systems or automated software​
  • Highly organized and able to multitask​
  • Fast-paced and deadline driven​
  • Excellent verbal and written skills​
  • Demonstrates good judgement and problem solving​
