Overview:

We seek an enthusiastic, innovative, and accountable individual to be a Purchasing Agent in our fast-paced, growing environment. We would love to talk to you if you have strong organizational, time management, and relationship-building skills.

Strategic Sourcing Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

· Source goods, materials, and services at competitive prices

· Work with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts

· Provide solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing

· Obtain quotes from different suppliers to conduct cost-down activities

· Implement Inventory optimization strategies within the company

· Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with vendors

· Monitor vendor performance with KPIs, goals, and scorecards

· Ensure a reliable supply of materials and keep abreast of any lead time issues within the marketplace and across all product lines

· Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

· Highly organized team player with a positive, professional attitude

· A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies

· Strong negotiation skills

· Highly analytical

· Strong computer skills including the use of standard office programs

· Ability to pass criminal/background checks and drug screening
