An employer is looking to add a Video Technician to their Simulation Lab team. This position is part of the Flight Simulation Labs Operations team and this person will be working in a fast pace environment supporting Flight Simulation hardware, requiring technical skills in both electronic hardware development and troubleshooting. This is a hands on role where you will be supporting repairs, modifications, and fabrication of lab equipment and Simulators.
They will be responsible for planning, conducting, and documenting tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies. They will design, fabricate, build and analyze test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies. They will be responsible for installing and maintaining Flight Simulation equipment consisting of computers, monitors, audio systems, visual systems, crew stations and rack equipment. They will troubleshoot and resolve electronic hardware issues with minimum down time, fabricate, build, and assist in designs of test system and components, as well as troubleshoot and resolve electronic and video related problems.
MUST HAVES:
5+ years working with video systems
Experience with electronic/video hardware testing and/or troubleshooting
Experience with large scale projection systems
Experience with analogue and digital video
Experience with electronic trouble shooting
Experience with (modern) video distribution
PLUSSES:
Active Security Clearance Pre-start
Experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and associated equipment
Experience working with electronics and/or mechanical systems in design fabrication and test
Experience with color balancing on a large-scale setting
Experience working with Avionic/Flight Simulation equipment
Experience with installation / maintenance of Video Display Walls or Mulit-Display systems
Experience with Fiber Distribution
Experience with Fiber-Optic Troubleshooting
